Can I pre book equipment?
Booking is advisable for some items, however due to the nature of the hire business we cannot always guarantee availability e.g. If the previous hirer breaks the equipment or fails to return it on time.Back to Index
Do you offer a delivery service?
Yes we deliver but not on 4 hour rates (minimum 1 day hire) .There is a charge for this service. Please ask us for a quote.Back to Index
Do you offer half day hires?
We do 4 hour rates on some items (half a working day), plus we allow an hour for your travelling too! Items must be picked up and returned the same working day – please ask for details when placing your order.Back to Index
How about Safety gear and ppe?
Although we can’t make you wear it we very strongly advocate use of all recommended PPE (Personal Protection Equipment ). Recommendations are listed on the written instructions supplied with our equipment We are pleased to offer a full range of PPE on a sale or return basis to our hire clients.Back to Index

All customers are offered verbal instruction in addition to the written instructions that are attached to all our equipment.Back to Index
How do I know that your equipment is safe?
Each item of plant and equipment is inspected and all electrical equipment is PAT tested between hires, the results are recorded and the equipment issued with a new “Ready For Hire” inspection certificate.Back to Index
Do I need to pay a deposit?
The deposit amount varies according to the equipment hired, hire duration etc, please ask us. We accept most major credit/debit cards and cheques with a guarantee card.Back to Index
Do I need Id?
Yes, as most of our equipment is expensive to buy and maintain, we need positive proof of who is hiring. I.D. such as utility bill and driving licence (or passport) with picture are acceptable.

Do you open Bank Holidays?
On bank holidays we make special arrangements, as we are not open on the Sunday we will usually charge an extended weekend charge – You get a free day!Back to Index
Do I need insurance?
Customers are responsible for insuring the equipment they hire. Please keep it safe! If stolen or you loose it, or break it through misuse it is chargeable. Breakdowns are rare, but sometimes happen. We will repair or substitute equipment whenever possible. Any hire charges will of course be suspended for the duration of the period out of use, due to breakdown. We want you to be happy with your hire and our service.Back to Index
How do you charge over a weekend?
We are closed on Sundays so our special Weekend rate (except for Excavation) is charged as one day from Friday after 4.00pm until Monday 8.30am. Also anytime Saturday morning (8.00am to 12.00pm) until 8.30 Monday morningBack to Index
Can you give me advice about what sort of equipment I need?
We can only give advice on the information we are given, so customers are responsible for the final decision as to the equipment taken or delivered. Our staff are fully trained and will always advise to the best of their ability.Back to Index
